About the Company
Our client is a leading global provider of contact center and customer engagement solutions, supporting some of the world's most recognised brands across telecommunications, insurance, healthcare, and retail. With operations across the US, Philippines, and Mexico, they employ over 13,000 people globally and are investing heavily in modernising their internal platforms. The culture is pragmatic, collaborative, and delivery-focused. Engineers are trusted to own outcomes, not just tickets.
About the Role
We are hiring a Cloud Engineer with strong Azure and C# experience to join a small, high-impact internal product team responsible for mission-critical business applications.
This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of software engineering and cloud platform ownership. You will work closely with a senior US-based backend engineer and a Manila-based frontend engineer, owning the Azure environment that underpins their core systems.
If you enjoy building, improving, and owning cloud platforms rather than just consuming them, this role will suit you well.
What You Will Be Doing
Design, build, and operate Azure-based cloud environments supporting internal business applications
Develop and support C#-based cloud services and integrations
Own CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and repeatable deployments
Implement and manage Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, and Application Insights
Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to deploy new features safely and efficiently
Monitor application performance, reliability, and cost, improving observability and resilience
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
Advocate for best practices in cloud architecture, security, and automation
What We Are Looking For
Three or more years of experience in cloud engineering or software development with a strong Azure focus
Strong hands-on C# development experience
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Queue), Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure AD, Key Vault, and Application Insights
Solid Cosmos DB experience — working with NoSQL data models at scale
Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or data workflows
Frontend development experience using React or similar frameworks
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines — Azure DevOps strongly preferred
Solid understanding of cloud security, identity, and access control
Adaptable across languages and frameworks — able to pick up new technologies based on project needs rather than defaulting to a single stack
Strong understanding of code structure, architecture fundamentals, and writing maintainable, scalable code
Comfortable working with distributed teams across time zones
Clear communicator who can explain technical decisions pragmatically
Nice to Have
Infrastructure as Code experience — Bicep, ARM, or Terraform
Containerisation using Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Container Apps
Additional cloud platform exposure — AWS or GCP
SQL database experience alongside NoSQL
Familiarity with cost optimisation and performance tuning in Azure
Exposure to AI or machine learning workloads in a cloud environment
Why This Role
Clear ownership of the Azure platform rather than just feature delivery
Internal product team with no external client firefighting
Real influence over architecture and deployment decisions
Collaborative, low-ego engineering environment
Strong runway as the platform continues to scale
