Overview

My client is an established enterprise AI software vendor that is expanding its footprint across Australia and New Zealand and is seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Executive to drive growth within the financial services sector.

My client delivers a market-leading AI platform that helps banks and insurers detect fraud, strengthen AML compliance, and manage financial crime risk with speed and precision. Their technology is already trusted by global Tier 1 institutions to deliver measurable ROI through automation, advanced analytics, and AI-driven decision support.

This role is within an established team of sales and delivery professionals, and is focused on both hunting new logos as well as management of existing accounts. You’ll join a global organisation with more than 3,000 employees, 1,500 enterprise customers, and over $500M in annual revenue, already working with three of Australia’s Big Four banks. The role reports directly to the regional sales leader and will play a pivotal part in shaping commercial strategy and go-to-market execution locally.

The Role

  • Own the full enterprise sales lifecycle – from pipeline generation through to close – across banking, insurance, payments, and fintech clients.

  • Drive new-logo acquisition with a hunter mindset, using a consultative, multi-threaded approach.

  • Develop strategic account plans to expand relationships and identify cross-sell / upsell opportunities across a growing customer base.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with global pre-sales, delivery, and product teams to align solutions to client objectives.

  • Contribute to the regional GTM strategy, providing input into vertical priorities, partner development, and localised campaigns.

  • Represent a credible, proven AI solution with tangible impact in fraud detection, AML, sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance.

  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles (6–12 months) involving multiple executive stakeholders across risk, compliance, and operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, ideally across AI, analytics, data, risk, or compliance technology.

  • Strong network and credibility across Australian financial services – banking, insurance, or fintech.

  • Proven success closing high-value, long-cycle deals ($350K AUD+).

  • Experience engaging risk, compliance, or operations executives within regulated organisations.

  • Ability to operate as a hunter in a lean, high-growth environment; “first-on-the-ground” experience advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills; confident influencing C-suite stakeholders.

  • Based in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane). Hybrid preferred if Melbourne-based; remote elsewhere.
