Position Purpose:
The Global Talent Management Director is responsible for driving organization-wide talent management and development initiatives that align with the company’s global objectives. This role is critical in designing and implementing strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Talent Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives. Identify and address talent gaps within the organization, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent. - Internal Talent Movement and Retention:
Design and implement programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Develop employee retention programs and team-building activities, and create policies that support internal promotions and career-pathing for high-potential employees. - Diversity and Inclusion:
Ensure the organization fosters a diverse and inclusive workforce, implementing strategies that promote equal opportunities across all levels. - Succession Planning:
Develop and maintain a robust succession planning framework. Identify critical roles and potential successors, implement development plans, and discuss career-pathing options with high-potential employees and their team leaders. - Performance Management:
Oversee the global performance management process, ensuring alignment of individual performance goals with organizational objectives. Conduct regular employee performance evaluations and provide guidance to managers on effective evaluation and feedback processes. - Training and Development:
Design and implement employee training programs that support continuous learning and development. Onboard new leaders within the organization and coach employees, acting as a consultant on learning and development activities. - Organizational Development:
Create and maintain organizational charts, defining each position’s responsibilities clearly. Monitor and report on turnover rates, using data-driven insights to inform talent management strategies. - Analytics and Reporting:
Utilize analytics to inform talent management strategies, prepare and present regular reports on talent metrics to senior leadership, and continuously improve processes based on data insights.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Director of Talent Management or in a similar leadership role.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and relevant software.
- Experience in delivering employee training programs and managing succession planning policies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with Performance Management Systems and Tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
