About the Role
We are seeking Retail Category Planning & Analytics Implementation Consultants to support the implementation and operationalization of End-to-End Category Planning processes and customer segmentation solutions.
This role combines analytics, solution implementation, and client collaboration, with a focus on ensuring successful deployment and adoption of category planning tools while supporting measurable improvements in category performance, sales growth, and assortment productivity over an 18-month implementation program.
What You Will Be Doing
Implementation & Solution Deployment
Support implementation of End-to-End Category Planning processes and customer segmentation solutions
Assist in configuring and deploying tools supporting Customer Decision Tree, Store Clustering, Assortment Optimization, Shelf Planning, Planogram Automation, and Floor Planning
Participate in system configuration, testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing
Support integration of analytics tools into category management and merchandising workflows
Assist in resolving implementation issues and ensuring successful deployment
Analytics & Category Planning Support
Conduct analysis related to Customer Decision Tree development, store clustering, assortment optimization, and planogramming
Support category review processes through preparation of analytical insights and recommendations
Translate analytical insights into actionable category planning and merchandising recommendations
Prepare and validate datasets required for analytics and modeling
Support category planning processes using analytics tools and best practices
KPI Delivery & Business Impact
Support the client in driving improvements across sales growth, category performance, assortment productivity, and shelf efficiency
Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to optimize category strategies
Identify opportunities to improve category performance and customer engagement
Client Engagement & Enablement
Work closely with category management, merchandising, and insights teams
Support workshops and working sessions related to category planning and solution usage
Prepare documentation, analytical reports, and presentations
Provide training and knowledge transfer to support long-term adoption
What We Are Looking For
At least 5 years of experience in retail analytics, category management, or assortment planning
Hands-on experience with category planning or retail space planning tools
Experience supporting category review processes and performance analysis
Experience supporting analytics or retail solution implementation projects
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
FMCG industry experience is preferred, particularly within retail, category management, or shopper analytics
Familiarity with POS, loyalty, shopper, or panel datasets is an advantage
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
