About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth, design-led technology company delivering fully white-labeled platforms to premium clients in the online gaming industry. As a Senior Front-end Engineer, you’ll take ownership of building and scaling high-performance web and mobile applications that power our global platform.

This is not a generic front-end role. You’ll be a technical leader who combines architectural thinking with hands-on coding, ensuring our front-end stack (React + React Native) is performant, maintainable, and ready to scale across multiple brands and markets. You’ll work closely with my client's Head of Engineering, Principal Front-end Engineer, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that balance design excellence with robust engineering practices.

What You’ll Be Driving

Front-end Architecture & Technical Strategy

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable front-end architectures with React and React Native.

• Make data-driven decisions on state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query), API integration, and performance optimizations.

• Establish modular design patterns and reusable components to accelerate development across projects.

• Influence long-term front-end technical strategy, aligning with evolving business and industry standards.

Code Quality & Best Practices

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles.

• Conduct detailed peer code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.

• Proactively refactor and reduce technical debt while maintaining performance benchmarks.

• Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and cross-platform/browser compatibility across web and mobile.

Project Delivery & Execution

• Deliver features within sprint commitments, balancing speed, quality, and scope.

• Collaborate with backend teams to define and test API contracts, ensuring seamless integrations.

• Optimize applications for responsiveness and scalability with measurable performance gains.

• Identify risks or blockers early, proposing solutions to keep projects on track.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

• Work closely with design, product, and backend teams to deliver cohesive, user-centric experiences.

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, articulating trade-offs and decisions clearly.

• Actively contribute to sprint ceremonies, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor junior engineers on best practices in React, React Native, and performance optimization.

• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions on state management, reusability, or mobile workflows.

• Promote accountability, high standards, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of front-end engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on React and React Native.

• Strong track record of designing and delivering scalable front-end architectures.

• Expertise in state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query), API integration, and performance optimization.

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS, with deep debugging skills.

• Experience ensuring accessibility, cross-platform compatibility, and responsive design.

• Strong communication skills - able to present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Bonus Points For

• Hands-on experience deploying mobile apps to iOS and Android app stores.

• Familiarity with build pipelines, CI/CD, and mobile deployment workflows.

• Experience with white-label or multi-brand product architectures.

• Background in gaming, fintech, or other high-traffic consumer applications.
