About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex enterprise implementations within retail supply chain environments.

This is a hands-on technical architecture role, requiring strong engineering depth alongside broader solution and system design capability. You will be expected to remain close to the technology, contribute to technical problem-solving, and provide detailed guidance across architecture, development, integrations, data, and implementation.

You will work closely with clients, Professional Services, product teams, engineering teams, and partners to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while providing architectural leadership across the full implementation lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex enterprise and SCM implementations

• Translate retail supply chain requirements into scalable functional and technical designs

• Define system architecture, design patterns, integration frameworks, and configuration strategies

• Design scalable and distributed systems capable of supporting large enterprise environments

• Guide technical decisions across forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimization, and supply chain planning

Hands-On Technical Leadership

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Core Java, application architecture, integrations, and database technologies

• Guide engineering teams on software design principles, architecture patterns, and development best practices

• Work with Kafka and streaming technologies within distributed, event-driven architectures

• Design and support integrations using REST APIs

• Work extensively with RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL within enterprise applications

• Apply Spring Batch to batch processing and enterprise data workflows

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, integrations, databases, and distributed systems

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align platform capabilities with client requirements

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead discussions with client executives, program leaders, and technical stakeholders

• Act as the primary architecture authority during workshops, solution reviews, and key technical checkpoints

• Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear architectural solutions

• Provide technical guidance during testing, UAT, and production deployment

• Communicate architectural decisions and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Program Delivery Support

• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solution integrity across the program lifecycle

• Provide oversight across design validation, system build, UAT readiness, and production cutover

• Support risk mitigation and architectural governance for complex implementations

• Diagnose and resolve technical challenges that could impact implementation or production performance

What We Are Looking For

Core Technical Skills

• Strong, recent hands-on experience with Core Java

• Strong understanding of system design, software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems

• Experience with Kafka and/or streaming technologies

• Strong experience designing and working with REST APIs

• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL

• Experience with Spring Batch and enterprise batch-processing environments

• Strong coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving capability

• Excellent logical and analytical skills

• Ability to evaluate technical problems and develop practical, scalable solutions

Experience & Domain Knowledge

• 10+ years of experience across enterprise software, solution architecture, or complex technology implementations

• Experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise solutions

• Strong understanding of system integration and enterprise application architecture

• Experience working across solution architecture, engineering, integration, and enterprise deployments

• Ability to lead complex client-facing discussions across business and technical stakeholders

• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, delivery, and partner teams

• Understanding of cloud platforms

• Retail, supply chain, or supply chain planning experience is highly desirable

Nice to Have

• Experience delivering enterprise retail or supply chain transformation programs

• Experience with forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimization, or supply chain planning solutions

• Background in enterprise data architecture and integration

• Experience supporting UAT, testing governance, and deployment strategies

• Experience mentoring engineering teams and guiding architectural best practices
